How long are the coaching sessions? Meetings are usually between two and four hours. At executive level, I believe that clients need these longer sessions to address complex issues.

Where do the sessions take place? Meetings are normally held outside the individual’s workplace, often using a neutral environment such as those provided by business centres.

How many sessions will I need? The number and frequency will depend on the nature of the issues that the individual wants to address. However, a range of 8-16 hours is typical. My intent is for the client not to become dependent. Clients are enabled to find their own solutions to their issues. However, clients who are rising rapidly within their organisation will often meet with me once or twice a year to review progress and tackle new issues.

Am I obliged to attend a series of coaching meetings? No. You are not committed to my coaching sessions and are free to stop at any time.

Can I have coaching sessions via the telephone? I believe face-to-face coaching meetings are the most effective, however, when clients are unavailable, out of the country etc, I can conduct coaching sessions over the telephone.

What if I cannot make a meeting? Making time for coaching sessions can be difficult and clients are often inclined to put themselves last in their list of priorities. Set sessions at regular intervals are valuable. That said, appointments can easily be rescheduled upon 24 hrs notice.

Can I contact you between meetings? I provide ongoing support to all my clients. You can call me between sessions if an issue arises that requires immediate attention.

I’m not sure if coaching is for me. I offer a free initial telephone or face-to-face session to allow individuals to explore the possibility of coaching. When you are comfortable with the coaching process and the coach, we can arrange a coaching meeting.
